Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to the success of our New Deaf Academy Appeal.

Whether you have a little or a lot of time to give, please join in.

You don’t have to have experience of deafness to volunteer. You may want to share your expertise in events or fundraising, share your contacts, develop more skills, or simply meet new people.

Our New Deaf Academy Appeal team would love to meet you.

You can volunteer by:

  • – Helping us run an information stand at a local event
  • – Bucket collections
  • – Giving talks on our behalf
  • – Setting up a local voluntary group
  • – Getting out your paintbrush to help improve our current site for our students
“I started volunteering at The Deaf Academy in spring 2015 and love coming into help. It’s been so interesting learning more about Deaf awareness and the fundraising team are lovely to work with, they always make me feel so welcome. It’s a great feeling knowing that you are helping to make a difference to the young Deaf people who learn at The Academy.”
